Ipod Nano 4th generation forced to be formatted

Hello

Every time that I connect my Ipod to mu desktop PC with Windows 10, the system says that the device needs to be formatted, and also iTunes says that the device is damaged so suggest to restore, I apply restore from iTunes but after it ends the suggestion about restore appears again. I tried formatting the device, but regardless of that after iTunes completes the restore Windows says again that the device needs to be formatted and iTunes claims again for a restore, yes... the loop.

The weird part of this is that I connected my iPod to a laptop where i also have iTunes and a few songs, and the only thing that happened is that iTunes asked for a restore that was completed succesfully, in fact now my iPod have a few songs on it and plays them without problems, but when i connect it again to my main computer i'm still being asked to format the device and to restore it.

I believed that my iPod was dead, but as you can see the device is recognized in my laptop, so I need to know what to do in order my PC doesn't want to format my iPod. Also I updated iTunes to 12.4 without results.

Best Regards

iPod nano, Windows 10

I went to my laptop and disabled the disk mode, and also sync another songs, but when I connected the iPod to my main computer Windows insisted in that wanted to format it, and iTunes as always suggested to restore.

Also I tried removing the Apple Mobile Device drivers and reinstalling againg (alongside an iTunes repair), nothing happened, also tried removing the letter in Windows... fail again.

My iPod is working and playing and my other USB devices are still working on my main computer, any other advice?

Thanks

I spent a couple of hours on the phone with an Apple tech and we tried all of the standard fixes: reinstalled the drivers, reinstall iTunes, "restore" iPod, uninstall 3rd party anti-virus software etc etc. all to no avail. It's the recent build (14366 - 14367) of Win10 that is the culprit...somewhere deep in the code the older devices are not getting supported on Win10 - but the recent devices should be fine.
